Holwell Gorge Falls

Holwell Gorge Falls is a lovely little waterfall walk placing you right into the luscious landscape of Tassie. This walk immediately brought a sense of calmness to my body as I walked amongst the green topped canopy and listened to the flowing water below.  The first part of the walk involved a decent walk gradually down the track until you reached a bridge which crossed the river. This was the easy part knowing that you had to walk back up the hill on return.  This walk was completed during the Winter season so there was plenty of water around along with a lot of variety of fungi. This walk was reasonably flat once on the other side of the river. It was extremely calming walking along the river bank listening to the water running down stream. There were plenty of ferns arching their trunks magnificently.     Holwell Gorge Falls was a little tricky to photograph as it is not a direct vertical fall and covers some distance. It is a skinny, powerful waterfall that flows through rock. H
