Rocky Cape to Sisters Beach Coastal Walk
The start of the track winds along the face of the sandy hill, climbing higher and higher until you reach the summit and are rewarded with the amazing view. My partner has a float which can be spotted so I know where he is at during my walk. The water is crystal blue, tainted with the reflection of the burning sun making it absolutely spectacular to take photos of.
You walk about a third of the way winding around the face of more hills, swatting furiously at the flies that are sticking to your face. This was the worst part of the walk, putting up with the irritating noise and feel of the flies. I used a small branch with leaves as my swatter which helped slightly.
Winding your way down the hill you finally hit the first of many beaches. To hit the sand was very satisfying. The coastal track allows you to walk along possibly six or so beaches. It becomes a bit of a bush bash going from beach to beach through the thick scrub.
Looking ahead you can see the three sisters get ever so closer as you walk contently along the headlands taking in the view of each beach.
The last part of the walk takes you up the hill that sits at the end of sisters beach. This gets the lungs and legs burning. As you climb the hill you get another amazing view.
You wind your way down the hill to Sisters Beach, exhausted but happy and content. The ocean keeps me feeling calm and is my stress relief.
