What is serenity?

It is opening the zip to your tent to uncover the ocean at your door front, enticing you to explore further.

It is the sounds of the wild ocean waves lapping up over the geometric rocks.

It is the sun beaming in the sky and reflecting it’s power off the crystal clear water.

It is the wind circulating around my hair showing me who is boss and being transfixed on the wind turbines powerfully rotating in unison.

It is walking up an isolated beach with only the thoughts in your head, placing one foot in front of the other in the silk soft sand.

It is watching the sun set on the horizon turning the sky to a golden orange haze as a fishing line is dangling in the ocean.

It is living off the ocean, seeing the pleasure in my partner grabbing a crayfish out of hiding from a rocky ledge. 

It is the simple things in life, like drinking cider mid afternoon, finding a starfish on a rock, and watching the night sky by campfire.

It is when I am in nature, my soul is bliss and my mind is at ease.
